With part I of our project over, I now expect to leave for China sometime in early 2007 in order to commission our automation system. In the mean time, my work brings me from luxurious Atlanta, GA to small town Russellville, KY. Atlanta is a nice city. Not the nicest considering that it lacks in history, does not have a real downtown, has way too many cars and that everything needs to be labeled either premium, luxurious or upscale. But it's okay. There's a nice big park right in the city, it has a vibrant nightlife, the city is still booming, there are some good restaurants and many great farmer's markets in the area.

Tonight, to capture one last souvenir of Atlanta, I drove to the independant theater in Midtown to see The last kiss. Even though the movie was not as interesting as I expected, it was diverting. The ride back home was even more diverting as I decided to drive on Peachtree Road and take the time to look around and enjoy the sights under the stars. As I was driving, I thought about all the places I've been to in the past few months in company of friends and of Franziska. So many memories came back to mind, so many evenings in good company..

Leaving is never easy. Leaving a town, leaving a place that you called home, leaving an area that you got familiar with.. But to depart of places or things will never be as difficult as leaving cherished ones behind.

Especially when it ends with one last kiss.
